| So I guess I haven't posted on Xanga in awhile. Here is what has been going on with us...in a nut shell. The past couple of months were a little crazy. June being the worst by far but some how we manage to get through. This spring Craig and I started to look for our first home. We had a few fall through (4 to be exact) for various reasons. I was really hoping to get in to a house by the end of May becasue June is just so crazy. Of course that didn't happen. We finally found a house that we again liked and made an offer on it. So we closed the weekend before the week of Coram Deo. This was not one of those move in right away kind of houses. It needed to be completely repainted and other odds and ends fix ups. So we had our apartment until the end of June so we decided to stay there and work on the house as long as we could. So we get back from Coram Deo and it is the last week of MC, which is also a little crazy. We are working on the house as much as we can that week, and then the week after. We had so many people helping us out it was incredible. We had a few things set us back in our painting...side note if you ever decide to take down popcorn ceilings just hire someone to do it...but we moved in at the end of June. It has been a fairly busy summer. Our days off are spent on the house but at least it is ours and we can do what we want with it. It is really coming along and hopefully we will have it done by September. When I said we had to paint EVERYTHING I meant EVERYTHING...windows, trim, walls,built-ins, etc. So that is our summer project. I hope that all of you are having a good summer and getting a great tan!! | | |
| OK so I guess it has been a few months since I have posted....but some of you have been just as bad. We have had a few busy months. Craig was traveling a lot with MC but that is finally over yeah!!! Things have been going good, we had one of the most incredible Wednesday nights last week. We had what we called the 180 Awards (our version of the Oscars). It was an awesome night, probably our biggest with around 500 kids. It was one of the night best experienced rather than trying to explain it. One of our videos that some of our guys made for that night is on You Tube under MC Remix Miss Independence. Check it out it is really funny. OK see ya | | |
| Ok Check this out....apparently the guy who (kind of ) invented the Keytar goes to our church. The first time somone told me who he was I didn't believe them until I researched it myself. Crazy!! So if anyone is starting an 80's hair band and would like a new Keytar for Christmas I know how the guy who sells them. I am still laughing my butt off. | | |
| So the weirdest things happen to me sometimes: Yesterday I was copying something and as I was pulling it out of the copier the lid fell back down on my hand. It just happend to be my left hand that was in the machine at the time. It slammed right on my engagment ring bending back one of the prongs. The diamond flew out and hit me in the face (almost in my eye) and disappeared. My friend Amy was in the room at the time and was like "ok no one come in, don't move Sarah"... so she started to look around on the floor and I was checking my hair and sweater for it. It was no where to be found. We had a flashlight out and were checking under everything. I was about to start tearing that room apart. Finally I saw a glisten. It was under the copy machine and in the wheel of it. Crazy!!! The best part is that I have it under a warranty from the store that Craig bought it from..the even better part is that they have locations all over the US...EXCEPT any where near Arkansas. (That was sarcastic if you didn't pick up on it). Well at least it's only a minor repair. | | |
| Well it has been awhile since I have posted. Not really sure if anyone is left in xanga-land, but for those of you who are HELLO!!! It was a good summer full of weddings and such stuff. Our internet was down at the church all summer so my access to xanga has been limited, however we are up and runnning again...and just in time for Master's Commission. Yes we have officially started this year. We have 20 students this year (first and second). We had an incredible opening night last night. God has been good to us. This year is going to be great. Especially now that we have second year students. I can already feel a different dynamic. I have also started working in a salon again. It's called Mr. John's and yes there is actually a Mr John. He and his wife own the salon and spa. I will be working only a couple of days so it will be easy to go along with our MC schedule. It has been fun doing hair again in a salon, I just pray that I can build a little clientel quickly. Well I guess that is all for now. | | |
